THE BUZZ: thatgamecompany’s amazing gaming experience Journey has now launched, and to celebrate the event, Sony sent out this very stylish promotional item.

EGM’s TAKE: Now, typically I don’t really get all that excited for the silly game-related swag that companies send out to promote their games. In this case, however, this scarf is pretty darn awesome.

In Journey, the main character wears a mystical scarf, one which imbues the player with the powers of jump and flight. So, it’s a perfect promotional piece—and it came securely packaged in an accompanying Journey-themed pouch.

To help model this Journey scarf, I employed our office “Dovahkiin” statute—only fitting, as I’m sure he’d appreciate its warmth in those cold, snowy lands of Skyrim.

Oh, and in case you think that Sony was trying to buy us off by sending us such fantastical gifts, we already reviewed Journey last week (go read the review if you haven’t already). Trust me—we needed no bribery to think that the game was worth playing.
