Sony Giving Away Free PS3s, PS Vitas If You Buy Their VAIO Computers
Posted on June 12, 2012 AT 02:35pm
It seems like June is a little early to start rolling out the “back to school” deals, but when the offer is a free PlayStation 3 or PS Vita, you can’t really argue semantics. Anyone need a new laptop?
As part of an exclusive offer for students and faculty, the Sony Store is giving away free PS3 and PS Vitas when you buy a qualifying Sony VAIO computer.
If you don’t want to use the benefit towards a gaming console, you can also get a $200 voucher towards other PlayStation gear, which we would assume includes video games and the associated accessories. Right now, the cheapest VAIO laptop you can get for the qualifying deal is a VAIO 13.3″ T Series Custom Ultrabook, which runs about $750—although you can get other VAIO S, T, Z and L Series rigs and still get the free PlayStation offer.
For those of you who already have a PS3 or Vita but need a new laptop or desktop PC, maybe you can put your new system toward eBay, or free store credit at your market of choice. Not saying anything specific, just putting it out there.
