E3 2012: Sony Gives Up 200 Seats To E3 Conference, First-Come First-Served
Posted on May 30, 2012 AT 01:05pm
Sony wants you to come to their E3 conference, but they’ve only got 200 open seats to giveaway. How badly do you want to see all their announcements live, one precious second before the rest of the Internet?
If you’re brave enough to face what will assuredly be a long line in the warm summer weather, Sony wants you to come to the Los Angeles Sports Arena to line up for a seat in their cheering section. Heck, they’ll even pay for your parking.
There’s only one catch, though. You must be over 21, and you will most likely be searched for contraband and recording gear.
Here’s where you need to be on Monday:
Date: June 4th, 2012
Time: They say no later than 3:30 p.m., but come on. Be there hours earlier.
Location: Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena—3939 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90037 (Make sure to look for the sign.)
Parking:
Self parking will be available for any guests who are driving their personal vehicles. Please enter Parking Lot 5 on MLK Boulevard at Hoover and when you arrive please tell the lot attendant that you are attending the Sony Press Event.
Restrictions: It’s 21+ and they’ll be checking for fake IDs.
Of course, if you’d rather watch via the comfort of your own living room futon or couch, you can stream the whole thing on the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Home, PlayStation.com, the Nico Nico app on the PlayStation Vita, Ustream, Google Plus, or Facebook. Given how spotty the connections can get, you’ll likely need to shuffle between all seven.
