PlayStation 4 users have been experiencing a data corruption error on PlayStation 4, which has resulted in several hundred hours of gameplay being wiped, according to reports on the official PlayStation forum.

The console identifies the error as “CE-34878-0″ and it isn’t isolated to a single game, according to the reports, with users complaining of corruption across several titles in PlayStation 4′s library, including NBA 2K14, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. A few users have even reported that the error is preventing them from starting any PlayStation 4 application, rendering the console unusable.

When asked about the error a Sony spokesperson told Eurogamer: “We are aware of the cases and we appreciate your patience while we investigate.”
