PlayStation 4′s online-focused racing launch title DriveClub has been officially delayed until early 2014, Sony has confirmed.
The game is in development at UK based Evolution studios and was set to be a launch title for the console this November, along with a free PlayStation Plus Edition. Both the full game and PlayStation Plus Edition has been delayed.
Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the rumors of a delay on the official PlayStation Blog, saying that the title ”will be a truly innovative, socially connected racing game, but the team requires more time in order to deliver on their vision – and I’m fully confident the game will surpass your expectations.”
The free PlayStation Plus Edition will now be replaced by a free copy of Contrast at launch. ”If you’re not aware of Contrast, it will whisk you away to a surreal vaudevillian, film-noir inspired reality full of performance, intrigue, shadow-play and drama,” Yoshida said.
Earlier this week Ubisoft confirmed that Watch Dogs had been pushed back from November to spring 2014 on all platforms.
