Sony Patents Interactive Ads App, Looks Similar To Xbox Live Version

Many PlayStation, Xbox 360, and PC users don’t like the idea of interactive ads, but a recent patent filing by Sony shows that the practice isn’t going away anytime soon. And by the looks of it, the PS4 will be rampant with them.
As noted in the actual filing, Sony is patenting technology that prompts players to interact with ads using the Dual Shock 3, PlayStation Move and PlayStation Eye with YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, ESPN and Facebook.
If that’s the current course of streaming console content, it’s probably safe to assume that many users will be turned off by having to watch or skip a fast food commercial every time they want to watch a TV show or a movie.
Game’N'Motion has posted the entire thing for you to see right over here. It’s pretty similar to the interactive advertising that Microsoft wants to use in more Xbox 360 apps, but the added motion controls seem especially intrusive.
