Sony Patents New Move Designed to Break Your Neck

It seems Sony filed a patent in September for some new Move technology that, by the looks of it, simply screams bad idea, guys.
The patent, which can be downloaded in PDF form from Free Patents Online, describes motion capture similar to how Move functions now—by two-dimensionally tracking the light-emitting diodes—as well as “another operation for capturing sound data emitted by the controller,” which allows for three-dimensional tracking.

The patent also shows how the controller’s face plate can be swapped out and how two of these controllers can be connected side-by-side or by their handles, making them into a double-bladed double-orbed controller (seen below).
