Sony Promises ‘The Future of Gameplay And Innovation’ At E3
Posted on May 5, 2012 AT 01:00pm

In getting people pumped for their upcoming E3 2012 events, Sony says that their press conference will offer up “the future of gameplay and innovation”. Normal PR speak, or could the company have something interesting up their sleeve?
“Join PlayStation executives as we announce the future of gameplay and innovation. They will be sharing more about the new PlayStation lineup, products, and services that will drive the upcoming year in entertainment,” says Sony’s E3 2012 website touting their press conference.
Of course, that could just be the typical hype that companies like to build for whatever it is they’re going to be showing off. However, there has been talk that Sony might be trying to beat Microsoft to the punch in terms of launching the next round of gaming consoles.
What if Sony were to unveil something, anything about the PlayStation 4 at this year’s E3? It would take a huge amount of wind out of the sails of Nintendo’s Wii U launch, and could help to start building hype before Microsoft has the chance to reveal anything about its own next Xbox.
What do you think? Will Sony be showing the actual “future of gameplay and innovation” at this year’s E3, or will that just be referring to new game for their current platforms?
