Sony Reveals More Free Software for PlayStation Vita

THE BUZZ: Sony has announced three new applications that PlayStation Vita owners will be able to download for free.
Paint Park
This will be available from today and is a simple sketch app that lets you take pictures with the Vita camera and then draw on them. You can share your creations with others online.

Treasure Park
Coming this summer, Treasure Park is, ”an application that allows you to create your own puzzles to challenge your friends with,” according to Sony. The app will also support Near and allow you to download and share creations.

Wake-Up Club
The third app will also be available summer, and turns your Vita into a colorful alarm clock that makes waking up a game.

EGM’s TAKE: Out of the three, the alarm clock appears to be the most useful. What better way to get you up in the morning than by turning it into a game. By the looks of it, you may also be able to challenge friends as the clocks can be synced up, with the fastest out of bed winning … nothing. Really, you should have stayed in bed. The other two apps will probably hold your interest for a little while, but most players will get bored of the gimmicks quickly. It’s good of Sony to keep supporting its handheld and rewarding those who put down the money for it.
