Sony has revealed the official full specs of the recently announced PlayStation 4 after offering a brief rundown at the PlayStation meeting earlier this week.
- CPU: single-chip custom processor, x86-64 AMD 8 Core “Jaguar”
- GPU: 1.84 TFLOPS, AMD Radeon-based graphics engine
- Memory: 8GB GDDR5
- 6X Blu-Ray Drive, 8X DVD
- Built-in HDD
- HDMI and Analog-AV
- USB 3.0
- Gigabit Ethernet port, 802.11 B/G/N built-in WiFi. Plus Support for Bluetooth 2.1
During the event Sony confirmed that the PlayStation 4 will sport 8GB of GDDR5 memory, over 30 times more than the PlayStation 3. The PlayStation 4 is set to release holiday 2013 and several retailers are already taking pre-orders.
