Sony is aiming to sell 5 million PlayStation 4 units by March 2014, Sony group CEO Andrew House announced during Sony’s keynote address at the Tokyo Game Show.

The keynote also features presentations from Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida and engineering boss Masayasu Ito. Ito explained in his presentation that Sony is allowing users to use their real name on PlayStation Network accounts to help the casual gamer.

“Hardcore users didn’t mind using an anonymous name, but when casual users get a request from an anonymous name, do you think they’d accept it quickly? I think not,” he explained (via CVG).

The keynote reiterated several previously announced aspects of the console, such as its smartphone and tablet support, social network integration, and Sony’s dedication to Indie developers.

Sony announced last week that the PlayStation 4 will release in Japan on February 22, 2014, around three months after it launches in North America on November 15, and in Europe on November 29.
