After helping to launch 3D support for games on the PlayStation 3, Mick Hocking is looking to add an even deeper dimension to gaming: virtual reality.
In an interview with develop, Hocking talked about the 3D OLED headset the company unveiled earlier this year at CES. While the headset that was shown doesn’t include head tracking, Hocking says other versions at Sony do, and that “what weve done in the R&D projects has just been fantastic.”
He also then went on to say that tests have been run at Sony with a few game prototype to explore the idea of doing virtual reality gaming.
