Sony/Gaikai Register ‘PlayStation Cloud’ Domains
Posted on February 20, 2013 AT 03:10am

Sony/Gaikai have registered several domains which appear to suggest that the platform holder could be preparing to announce a new “PlayStation Cloud” service at the PlayStation Meeting later today.
Superannuation discovered domains for playstation-cloud.com, playstation-cloud.org and ps-cloud.net, all registered on February 15 by Gaikai–the cloud gaming service bought by Sony last year. These domains were registered just days before Sony’s PlayStation Meeting where it is expected to announce the PlayStation 4.
Last week rumors claimed that the PlayStation 4 would use Gaikai’s streaming service to allow backwards compatibility on the console. These domains seem to suggest that the rumors were true and PlayStation 3 games will be playable via this “PlayStation Cloud,” of course it’s still conjecture at this point.
We only have a few hours left before we find out the truth because the PlayStation Meeting is happening later today.
