Soul Calibur iOS Gets Multiplayer Update

THE BUZZ: Namco Bandai has released a new update for Soul Calibur iOS, which adds a multiplayer option.

Sadly it doesn’t add online multiplayer, but it does allow you to fight others via a Bluetooth connection. As a result of the Bluetooth requirement, the multiplayer won’t work on iPod Touch devices.

Namco has also dropped the price of the title down to $11.99 for a short time.

EGM’s TAKE: The whole essence of Soul Calibur is its multiplayer, the fact that this game launched without it will certainly have put a lot of core fans off. Unless the team can somehow get online multiplayer to work effectively, we see this game dying a slow death.
