THE BUZZ: To accompany the reveal of Ezio, Namco Bandai also announced the official release date of Soul Calibur V.

The game will come to North America on January 31st 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A Collector’s Edition will also be available on the same day featuring a soundtrack CD, behind the scenes video, hardcover art book and special downloadable armor.

EGM’s TAKE: Soul Calibur V looks impressive, however many core fans are hoping that the game will be more balanced this time around. It’s been a while since Soul Calibur was the baddest fighter on the block (can anyone say Dreamcast?)
