THE BUZZ: Namco Bandai has released a new trailer for Soul Calibur V, introducing us to Algol, Edgemaster and Soul of Devil Jin.

EGM’s TAKE: Soul of Devil Jin is a custom fighter created by a member of the development team using the game’s creation system, apparently modeled off Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada, hence the name. I’m sure Harada will take it in good faith the way it is intended, and it’s pretty amazing what can be done with this system. The most interesting part is the announcement of downloadable characters for the game, so people will be able to share their creations online with other players. Imagine the possibilities, with the amount of customization options pretty much anyone could be created, given enough time.
