Bandai Namco has revealed everyone’s favorite Priestess of the Winds, Talim, will return in Soulcalibur VI.
The developer shared the upbeat fighter’s inclusion in the upcoming game through a new trailer. In the footage, which you can check out below, Talim is back in action with her signature dual elbow blades and the ability to control the wind.
According to Bandai Namco, Talim’s role in Soulcalibur VI will shed more light on why she left her remote island to become embroiled in the mystery of the Soul Edge.
While the fierce fighter has been a favorite of many fans since her debut in 2002’s Soulcalibur II, she was notably absent from Soulcalibur V. In fact, she hasn’t been featured in the series since 2009’s PlayStation Portable spin-off Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. However, since the upcoming title’s story will encompass the entire Soulcalibur timeline, players might get more information on what’s happened to her since her last appearance.
The fighting game’s producer, Motohiro Okubo, also recently explained there will be more than one single-player mode to experience. One new addition, the Soul Chronicle mode, will give each playable fighter their own spotlight through 3D and illustrated cutscenes.
Soulcalibur VI will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 19th.
