THE BUZZ: It has been announced that a South Park RPG is currently in the works at Obsidian, and will be published by THQ.

The latest issue of Game Informer has all the details stating that series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone will be writing the script and overseeing development of South Park: The Game. ”Unlike the cash-in Acclaim titles from over a decade ago, this ambitious project is a full-scale RPG for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3,” reads the blurb. “As the new kid in South Park, it’ll be up to you to make friends and defend the town from a wide range of threats.”

EGM’s TAKE: Finally a South Park game that is worth getting excited over, hopefully it will play out the way everyone imagined the previous attempts would.
