Ubisoft has announced at its Digital Days Event, which took place yesterday, that Spartacus Legends will be free-to-play on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The game will feature micro-transactions, however you will need a certain level of “Fame” to purchase some items, to prevent a pay-to-win scenario from occurring. The game will also contain an offline versus mode alongside its online competitions.

Spartacus Legends is due to release early 2013 on XBLA and PSN.
