THE BUZZ: 2K Games has released a new trailer for Spec Ops: The Line, taking a closer look at the game’s multiplayer.

The multiplayer centers around two teams, The Damned who stood by Col. John Konrad during the rescue missions, and The Exiles, who rebelled against his orders.

EGM’s TAKE: It feels like your average multiplayer shooter, all the solid components are there but nothing truly stands out or shines through. However, there are a few neat little surprises, like sandstorms that can whip across the  battlefield, changing landscapes and blinding players, and also some sort of cloaking specialization that allows you to stealth during battle. That could be invaluable during heavy gun fights. The major selling feature has to be those sandstorms, imagine how it could change a game if triggered at the right moment, it could even turn a losing situation into a winning one.
