THE BUZZ: Apparent in-game screenshots of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 have appeared online, via the special effects firm that helped create the Quadrotor video released earlier this week.
Reel EFX posted the images, before quickly pulling them, that show the Quadrotor ‘in-game.’
Activision recently released a teaser image of the Quadrotor on the official Call of Duty website, hinting at a near-future setting for the game.
The next Call of Duty will be officially unveiled May 1.
EGM’s TAKE: These shots appear to be a simple rendering of the Quadrotor using the game engine. By the looks of things Treyarch will be going for a more futuristic setting with its latest Call of Duty entry. While it looks cool, we expect this to be one of those killstreaks that will annoy a lot of players, with it being small and agile, it will be pretty hard to hit. Being armed with a submachine gun you could easily wrack up a fair few kills with one.
Are you looking forward to trying this out in-game? Let us know in the comments below.
