Spider-Man

Marvel’s Spider-Man has debuted the first teaser trailer for it’s upcoming Black Cat-themed DLC, giving us our first look at the Spider-Man’s on-again, off-again ally/rival.

The first DLC, called The Heist, follows the events of the main game and seems to pit Peter Parker against Felicia Hardy, though knowing their history, there’s probably more to the story than meets the eye. Some players might balk at the idea of a major story DLC coming just a month after the game’s release, not to mention being teased before the game’s even out, but the quality of the cutscene present in the trailer seems on par with the main game, so that’s a good sign.

The Heist, coming on October 23rd, is one of three Spider-Man DLCs scheduled to launch over the next three months as part of the City that Never Sleeps season pass. Following that is Turf Wars in November and Silver Lining in December, though developer Insomniac Games hasn’t revealed information about which villains we’ll see in the next two DLC offerings.

Marvel’s Spider-Man launches on September 7th for PlayStation 4. If, for some reason, you’re still on the fence about becoming Spider-Man, check out our review. Long story short, the only way the game could be better is if Insomniac let us play as the fat, shirtless Spider-Man you’ll meet at some point in the game.
