A leaked video of Marvel’s Spider-Man shows off a boss fight against one of Spider-Man’s unenhanced- but no less threatening- foes.
Wilson Fisk, better known as Kingpin, was one of the first Spider-Man bosses fans ever laid eyes on in the new game. While the goals of the hero and villain seemed to temporarily align the first time we saw them interact, the ceasefire apparently isn’t constant throughout the entire game. In a leaked video posted to the game’s subreddit, fans can see a short 36 second clip of Spider-Man getting the snot beaten out of him by Fisk.
The footage presumably leaked out of one of the several recent Spider-Man preview events, for which official coverage is still clearly embargoed. Developer Insomniac has been making the rounds with these preview events, according to the Twitter of creative director Bryan Intihar, with London being the game’s most recent stop. Given the number of events Insomniac is hosting to show off the game, it’s not too surprising one attendee leaked.
Marvel’s Spider-Man had an impressive presence at the recent San Diego Comic-Con 2018, with a new trailer showing off the game’s inclusion of the mercenary Silver Sable. The event also gave fans a look at the hero’s new Velocity suit, which will be one of three costumes served up as preorder bonuses.
Marvel’s Spider-Man is slated to launch September 7th, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
