Posting on the PlayStation Blog, Splinter Cell community developer Zack Cooper shared some additional details about Blacklist’s co-op play.

According to Cooper, Blacklist will boast 14 unique co-op missions and four different co-op mission types—two of which Cooper touched upon in his post.

Isaac Briggs missions are played with a partner either online or local split-screen, and cater to three play styles: Ghost, Panther, and Assault.

The Grim missions are geared toward hardcore players, and are limited only to the Ghost play style. These missions require players to completely avoid detection. If spotted, they must start the missions over entirely.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist launches on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U August 20 in North America, August 23 in Europe. Check out the dev diary embedded below for a look at the co-op modes in action.
