Update: Activision has officially announced that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 21st, 2018.
The collection includes remastered versions of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon with improved environments, updated controls, brand-new lighting, and recreated cinematics.
According to the listing on Amazon India, the collection will be available from September 21st and includes remastered versions of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The collection is said to include more than 100 remastered levels with improved gameplay controls.
The listing also contained a few screenshots from the remastered trilogy that can be seen below:
Earlier this week, IGN reported receiving a mysterious purple egg from Falcon McBob along with the message “Something’s about to hatch.” This was of course linked to a potential announcement of the remastered trilogy, but so far nothing has been officially said by Activision.
Previous reports claim that Spyro Reignited Trilogy will launch first for PlayStation 4 in September 2018, before being brought to other platforms in 2019.
