Tomb Raider

Despite the media and PR backlash that Square Enix have been experiencing from the Tomb Raider reboot, the younger Lara Croft will be front and center for much of their Comic-Con 2012 activities, including a cosplay event and exclusive sweepstakes. Of course, Square Enix is bringing their full suite of upcoming games to San Diego, too.

Here’s what Square Enix is bringing to the show at the San Diego Convention Center:

  • Heroes of Ruin (3DS)
  • Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (3DS)
  • Sleeping Dogs
  • Hitman: Absolution
  • Tomb Raider

Each game will be playable via supervised demos, and in conjunction with the event, Square Enix is also hosting a few events that you’ll want to check out inbetween panels and booth runs.

Tomb Raider‘s creative team will be hosting a panel on Saturday (July 14th) at Room 5AB, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. for a panel discussion about recreative Lara Croft, which will be followed by a Q&A session. Show up, and you’ll get a free Tomb Raider lithograph on the way out that will make you the envy of everyone who didn’t attend.

There’s also the “Nerd Machine” party on Friday, July 13th, which will have 20 Xbox 360s running Tomb Raider, in addition to an event-long sweepstakes where special edition Tomb Raider-themed Xbox 360s will be doled out at the Square Enix booth, the Nerd Machine HQ area, and at Lou and Mickey’s Restaurant at 224 Fifth Avenue.
