Square Enix Producer Naoki Yoshida has assured Final Fantasy XIV players that brighter days are ahead. To try and reduce the strain on the game’s servers the developer has added new worlds, instanced servers, and a third duty finder group.

“Even with the previously discussed measures in place,” he wrote on the game’s official forums, “there remain several overpopulated worlds that may still be subject to peak-time login and character creation restrictions.”

Yoshida added that if all goes well over the weekend then digital sales should resume next week.
