Following a retail leak yesterday Square Enix has officially announced the Director’s Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution exclusively for Wii U.

The Wii U version is being co-developed by Mass Effect Wii U studio Straight Right and promises to deliver a whole host of GamePad features such as touch screen hacking, interactive maps, augmented sniping, grenade throwbacks, and ”many other neural hub enhancements.”

The Director’s Cut of the game will include the Missing Link DLC chapter and pre-order mission Tong’s Rescue. Boss fights have received a massive overhaul and general gameplay has been balanced and tweaked slightly. There are also several improvements to the game’s AI and a nice visual upgrade.

Finally the Wii U version includes developer commentaries, in-game guides, and a New Game+ mode. Amazon U.S. currently has the game down for a May 7 release, but no official date has been offered.
