THE BUZZ: A trademark has been filed by Square-Enix for “Sleeping Dogs.” Could this be a subtitle for the next Kane and Lynch game?

EGM’s TAKE: The trademark is in the area of video games and online entertainment, so it’s certainly a game of some sort. The connections to Kane and Lynch comes from the second game’s subtitle of Dog Days and a job listing last year seemed to suggest that a third game was in development at the company. Kane and Lynch has been a series met with mixed reviews. Some people love the franchise and praise it no end, others look at it as an unfinished idea that could have been something great. Hopefully, if this is indeed a third title, the team can fix the issues present in the first two games and deliver a polished and complete product.
