The sequel to 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront will be “much bigger” than the original game in response to fan grievances.
During a recent investor briefing, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen discussed a couple of EA’s biggest franchises, one of which being the revitalized Star Wars Battlefront. Jorgensen acknowledged the issues fans had with the previous Battlefront‘s limited content, claiming the criticism will be considered in the next installment.
“If there was criticism, they just wanted more,” Jorgensen said. “So we’re taking that criticism to heart as we build the next game and trying to address any of the issues that they had.” He also stated that the sequel, which will follow the story arcs of the latest Star Wars films, will be a “much bigger, much more exciting Battlefront.”
There is currently no release date for the Star Wars Battlefront sequel, but it is expected to launch in fall of 2017.
Jorgensen also used the investor briefing to detail some plans for the Battlefield series, revealing that fans shouldn’t expect another installment for a couple years.
