Star Wars Battlefront

After a fairly long wait since the previous Star Wars Battlefront II balancing update, the developer finally speaks out to assure fans that changes are coming.

The developer feedback started with design director Dennis Brännvall responding to a fan on Twitter, confirming that the fan’s wish for a nerf of the multiplayer Wookie characters is coming.

This was followed by a Battlefront II forum post from community manager Mat Everett, who teased a number of adjustments coming to the game. Everett’s preliminary list of changes can be found below, but he also provided a link at the end of the post for access to the update’s full patch notes when they go live.

– Hero tweaks
– Wookie Warriors tweaked
– Trooper tweaks (Specialist, Heavy, and Officer)
– Weapon tweaks
– Bug fixes

Despite previous comments made by the publisher regarding Star Wars canon, there is a possibility that new character skins could also show up in the game’s next update. In another Twitter response by Brännvall, the director revealed that the developer would “have more info on skins very shortly.” This would be a weird thing to say if there was nothing of note to announce.

Star Wars Battlefront II hasn’t seen a balancing update since early December, in which the developers made some highly-requested changes to the game’s economy. Considering the developer promised to be constantly iterating on the experience, it may want to kick things up a notch.
