Star Wars: Battlefront III Files Hidden on Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Disc

THE BUZZ: Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City developer Slant Six Games was working on a Star Wars: Battlefront sequel, according to hidden files located on the game’s disc.
The data, uncovered by BetaGames and re-posted on NeoGAF, contains artwork from a Hoth level in a hidden folder named “Luke.” The folder also contains a character model showing Luke Skywalker in his orange pilot jumpsuit.
“It is the morning of the Imperial assault on the Rebel base on Hoth,” reads a chunk of text on one of the loading screens. ”The wreckage of a downed Victory Class Star Destroyer is the setting for one of the first battles over Echo Base and the future of the Rebellion hangs in the balance.”
EGM’s TAKE: Slant Six’s game has apparently been cancelled and development duty passed over to Spark Unlimited, based on previous rumors. No doubt someone placed the files on the disc in order to show what the team was working on before it was cancelled, possibly out of annoyance and anger. Fans have been begging for a third game in the series for a long time since Lucas Arts halted production on Battlefront III at Free Radical back in 2008. If the game is indeed in development at Spark Unlimited, then the Tweets teased by the developer seem to point to a reveal soon.
