Star Wars: The Old Republic Bounty Contract Week Event and Patch 2.4 Teased

Posted on June 19, 2013 AT 07:46am

BioWare has offered an update to its Summer of SWTOR plans in which it teases a new recurring event and the highly anticipated PvP 2.4 patch.

The Bounty Contract Week will be a recurring monthly event which is due to begin on August 13, one week after the release of patch 2.3. The developer offered the following description to wet our appetites:

Bounty Contract Week provides new missions with full voice-over that will take you on a hunt for high-value bounty targets across the galaxy. Each bounty contract scales to your level, from 15 to 55, providing experience, credits, Commendations, and Reputation with the Bounty Brokers Association.

The developer also teased update 2.4 which will be entirely PvP focused. The aim is to get the update out by October, but no solid details were offered. All we got were three teasing words, Oricon, Warzone Arenas, and Dread Masters.

Oricon is a moon located in the Outer Rim, now whether this is the location for a new planet or just a warzone is unknown. Warzone Arenas speaks for itself, hopefully this tease means that BioWare is finally listening to the fans and giving PvPers something other than Warzones. The Dread Masters are a force that has been plaguing the game for months now, so who knows how they will tie in to things, but rest assured it won’t be good.
