Star Wars: The Old Republic Game Update 1.2 Goes Live Tomorrow
Posted on April 11, 2012 AT 07:03am
THE BUZZ: BioWare has announced that game update 1.2 for Star Wars: The Old Republic will be rolling out tomorrow, April 12.
The major addition is the new Legacy system, which allows different characters on your account to be linked together using a family tree feature. This then grants various abilities to each character in the tree depending on your legacy level.
Also added are a new Warzone, Flashpoint, Operation, daily quests and a new tier of both PVE and PVP gear.
Finally a whole host of class balance changes have also been made. You can read the full patch notes here.
EGM’s TAKE: After so many weeks of testing the update is finally going live. You have just one more day to buy any color crystals and luxury high end speeders that you want before the patch launches and they are removed. This is a lot of content for a free update and shows BioWare’s commitment to the game and its players. There are a fair few unhappy people moaning about the various class changes, but that’s to be expected, nobody likes seeing their class get nerfed. BioWare has promised that new content is set to be added every month from now on, so things can only get better for the game from here on out.
