THE BUZZ: BioWare has announced that new players can join Star Wars: The Old Republic and play for free this weekend.

All server types will be available and any character you create will be saved should you wish to purchase a subscription.

The restrictions are as follows:

• You can only progress to lv. 15
• You can only play in Origin World, Capital World, the Fleet, all Warzones and in your first Flashpoint
• General chat, trade chat and PvP chat will not be available
• You won’t be able to use the Galactic Trade Network or trade with other players
• You will only be able to level your Crew Skills ranking to around 40
• You will not be able to earn Legacy XP

EGM’s TAKE: If you’ve yet to try out The Old Republic then we strongly suggest that you use this weekend as an opportunity. If you’re a Star Wars fan then you will love the expansive and rich worlds. Also if you love BioWare storytelling then there is hours of it to be enjoyed in this game, over 200 hours per class to be exact. Just take an hour out of your weekend to try the game out, you won’t regret it.
