They’ve been promised for months, bur finally paid server transfers are coming with patch 2.2 of Star Wars: The Old Republic, and now BioWare has finally shared some details about how they will work.

Eric Musco took the official forums to clear up some information about the transfers. A transfer will cost 1800 Cartel Coins per character and can only be paid for using the currency. Once the transfers are live players can head into their My Account page on swtor.com to transfer their characters. If your name is already taken on the destination server then you will be forced to rename before you can log in.

Musco added that all Legacy unlocks, Achievements, and Collection information will be transferred along with your character and if you have a Legacy on the destination server also then the one with the highest level will become your Legacy level.

Finally there will be no way to transfer entire guilds, players must individually transfer and then create a new guild on the destination server.
