StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm reached roughly 1.1 million sales worldwide in the first two days of its release, developer Blizzard Entertainment announced.

According to Blizzard, Heart of the Swarm’s these sales figures include both retail and digital sales through Battle.net.

Back in August 2010, StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty sold more than 1 million copies day one and more than 1.5 million copies within its own first two days.

Heart of the Swarm, available now, focuses on Sarah Kerrigan and picks up immediately after the events of Wings of Liberty.
