THE BUZZ: Stargate Atlantis star Joe Flanigan appears to have accidentally confirmed the existence of Army of Four.
Flanigan, who played Major Lt. Colonel John Sheppard, claims to be doing voice over work for the unannounced EA title.
“Just signed on to do the new AO4 video game for Electronic Arts. Some splinter from Battlefield. Finally, my kids think I am cool again,” he Tweeted.
He quickly moved to correct his mistake saying: ”Actually, showing how distinctively uncool I am, I think I have those games mixed up. Thankgod my kids don’t read twitter.”
Last year reports surfaced that the game would feature four player co-op and was being developed using DICE’s Frostbite 2.0 engine.
EGM’s TAKE: It’s almost impossible to keep a game secret in today’s social media obssessed world. No matter what you try and do someone, somewhere will find out about it and let everyone know. Seeing as this isn’t the first mention of the title, and that EA was on the lookout for a new artist for the Army of Two franchise last year, it stands a pretty good chance that the game actually exists. However, nothing is known for sure until EA actually comes out and officially announces the game.
Would you like to see another title in the franchise? What should be changed or added? Leave your thoughts below.
