Undead Labs, the studio behind State of Decay, has signed multi-year, multi-title agreement with Microsoft Studios, founder Jeff Strain announced today.

“If this were a press release, we’d have carefully vetted quote from Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft Studios, expressing Microsoft’s excitement as well,” Jeff wrote on the company’s official website. “But pictures speak louder than words, and we think Phil spoke pretty loudly during the keynote at E3 last year:

“Thanks to Phil and everyone on our hard working team at Microsoft Studios for believing in State of Decay!”

State of Decay, which launched on Xbox Live Arcade June 2013 and later on Steam November 2013, quickly became the fastest selling Xbox Live Arcade to date, moving over 250,000 copies in two days and 500,000 copies in fewer than two weeks.
