According to Thief’s lead design, the game will boast some sort of old-school mode, Joystiq reports.
According to Joystiq, Thief’s old-school mode will eliminate parts of the heads-up display and scale back some of protagonist Garrett’s abilities, delivering a more “traditional” (for lack of better word) Thief experienced geared toward long-time fans of the franchise.
Developer Eidos also released the first batch of Thief screenshots, which provide the first look at the game’s visuals and general aesthetic.
Thief is set to launch sometime 2014 on PC, PS4, and Microsoft’s next Xbox console.
