Ubisoft has revealed that its extreme sports game Steep is no longer coming to Nintendo Switch.
Steep was announced for the Switch back in 2017, but, according to the official Steep Twitter account, the decision has been made to cancel the Switch release in favor of focusing on supporting the live game with new content and challenges.
Hey @RJISAGAMER! We are wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead. We’ll have more exciting news to share soon.

Last month, Ubisoft announced its second season of Live Activities for the game that task players with completing a number of challenges over a couple of months to earn the full Victory Yama Equipment Set. A third season of Live Activities is scheduled to run from October through December and will offer players the chance to earn another exclusive equipment set.
Steep originally launched in 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
