THE BUZZ: Sony has released a new trailer for the PlayStation 3 exclusive Sorcery.

The game sees players controlling a young sorcerers apprentice as he attempts to stop the Nightmare Queen from plunging the land into eternal darkness.

Brian Upton, creative director on the game, has stated that Sorcery will prove why the PlayStation Move is superior to Kinect and Wii.

EGM’s TAKE: Sorcery has received a lot of praise so far, but whether it has the ability to carry the hopes of the PlayStation Move on its back is unknown. Sony is relying on the game to reinvigorate the peripheral and show the world what motion gaming can truly achieve. However, there’s only so much you can do with pretending to wave a magic wand around. The game will do well for what it is, but we don’t expect it to pick up any game of the year awards.

Does Sorcery have what it takes to make the PlayStation Move a worthwhile investment? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
