This year’s Summer Games Done Quick speedrunning event has raised over $1.7 million for Doctors Without Borders.
For those who are unaware, Games Done Quick events happen twice a year and bring together some of the best speedrunners around to help raise money for charity.
The total raised currently stands at $1,781,405.20 from 30078 donators, eclipsing the $1.3 million raised during last year’s summer event.
If you missed the event, a list of all the runs, complete with videos, can be found over on the speedrun Reddit here. A few highlights include Halfcoordinated’s one-handed run of NieR: Automata, Garish’s Halo: Combat Evolved Legendary run, ThorW’s Dark Souls III All Bosses run, and Keizaron’s Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver run.
The next event on the Games Done Quick calendar is Awesome Games Done Quick this winter.
