The Pokémon Company’s revealed the latest new pocket monster you’ll be able to catch in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon: Salandit, the Poison/Fire type Toxic Lizard Pokémon.

Salandit is the first Pokémon to be both a Poison and a Fire type and sports the unique ability Corrosion. Corrosion allows the little reptile to inflict the poisoned status on all Pokémon types, including the usually-immune Steel and Poison types. Depending on its eventual stats and moveset, this could be a big game-changer in the competitive scene.

Here’s Salandit’s description from the official Pokémon Company website:

“Salandit emits toxic gas, together with flames, from the base of its tail. This poisonous gas has a sweet smell, and anyone who breathes it in will become dizzy. Salandit is not a very powerful Pokémon, but its cunning nature allows it to battle fiercely by throwing its opponents off balance.

“Salandit females not only release toxic gases, they can also emit pheromones that attract males of all species, including Pokémon and humans. Inhaling those pheromones may cause opponents to be controlled by Salandit’s will.”

You’ll be able to catch the little critter when Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon release on November 18th, exclusively for the 3DS.
