Nintendo has announced the official release date of New Super Mario Bros. U‘s upcoming Super Luigi U DLC and also revealed that it will be getting a standalone retail release.

The DLC will be available as a digital download on June 20 in both North America and Europe. However, a standalone retail version will be available to purchase from July 26 in Europe and August 25 in North America. You won’t need a copy of New Super Mario Bros. U to play the standalone version.

Nintendo also revealed that Nabbit, a little creature who chased you in the first game, will be added as a playable multiplayer character with Super Luigi U.
