Nintendo has announced that it will be hosting a special Nintendo Direct broadcast for Super Smash Bros. on April 8.

The broadcast will begin at 3 p.m. PDT (6 p.m. EDT) and promises to provide new details about the game. The game is still without a release date for either platform, so hopefully this will be one of the details that Nintendo chooses to share.

Super Smash Bros. on 3DS and Wii U will feature several new additions to the roster, including Mega Man, Animal Crossing‘s villager, the Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina and Luma from Super Mario Galaxy, and Punch-Out‘s Little Mac.
