Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is getting a huge update this spring

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is getting a major update sometime soon.

Nintendo didn’t reveal much, but today’s Nintendo Direct revealed that version 3.0 of the game will be arriving sometime “this spring.” However, we’ll have to wait to see what’s actually being added.

Challenger Pack 1, which includes Joker, will be arriving before the end of April. It’s unknown whether or not his release will coincide with this new update to the game. Players should also keep an eye out for a new wave of Amiibo, including figurines for Snake, Simon, Pokémon Trainer, Squirtle, and Ivysaur. All these will be heading to stores in 2019.

That’s more of a “wait and see” update than any definite news, but at least we know a little about what’s in store for the future of Super Smash. Bros. Ultimate.
