Nintendo’s ‘special’ reveal at this year’s Game Awards turned out to be Super Smash Bros. Ultimate news. Persona 5‘s Joker will be headed into the battle next year.

During the ceremony, Nintendo revealed in a new trailer that the first DLC fighter for the brawler’s challenger pack will feature Persona 5‘s mysterious Joker character. Fans of both titles can check out the trailer below to see Joker triumphantly announce his entrance into Ultimate.

Along with Joker as a playable character, fans that purchase the DLC will also recieve a Persona 5-themed stage and new music tracks. Four more characters, stages, and music collections will also be arriving down the line. Before then, players that register their copies of Ultimate through My Nintendo Rewards will recieve the game’s first add-on character, Piranha Plant.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will launch for Nintendo Switch on December 7th.
