Super Smash Bros

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players who missed the cutoff to get Piranha Plant for free can now purchase the character.

Piranha Plant was offered to players for free if they purchased the game and registered it by January 31st, 2019. Now that the cutoff date has passed, Nintendo has added the character to the eShop for $4.99.

It should be noted that Piranha Plant is not included in the $24.99 Fighter Pass, which will offer access to five DLC characters.

As previously announced, the first Fighter Pass character will be Joker from Persona 5. A release date for the character has not been confirmed, but we do know that he comes with a stage and can be purchased separately for $5.99.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now on Nintendo Switch.
