Super Time Force Quantum-Leaping onto Xbox One in Addition to Xbox 360 in 2014

Posted on December 5, 2013 AT 01:17pm

Capybara’s 2D side-scrolling shooter Super Time Force is coming to Xbox One as well as Xbox 360, the studio announced today.

Unfortunately, development of the Xbox One version caused the game’s 2013 release window to be bumped “a few months into 2014,” according to a post on the game’s official website. The title will be self-published through the ID@Xbox program. Capy hopes to release both the XBLA and the Xbox One versions simultaneously.

Super Time Force debuted at PAX East 2012, but began life as a game jam experiment in 2011. Gameplay revolves around 2D side-scrolling Contra-esque run-and-gun shooting with the added hook of time-traveling: Upon death, players rewind time a bit and then fight with the aid of the ghost of their previous life.

Also, there will be a cybernetic Tyrannosaurus boss.
